Important Information on Cats and Dogs Nutrition Dogs can have a bit of greenery or granary added to their food, but in the end they can't be vegetarians. Cats on the other hand, are pure carnivores through and through. They can not live well on food that blends in plant material to any extent. Cats periodically chew on fresh green grasses etc., but not for nutrition; they chew on blades of grass to assist them in PUKING out hairballs. - *Dr. Bob. C&D Storms It has been estimated that the survival rate after a significant cat and dog rainstorm is about 10:1, with cats outnumbering the dogs. It should be noted that most of the cats that arriving during this type of storm almost always have only eight lives remaining.
